How are messages delivered?
Messages are delivered via In-App Notification, Email or Text.
Will you ever post to my Facebook?
No. We will never post or share anything to Facebook without your permission.
Is it FREE to send messages?
Yes! We do not charge a fee to use the service or deliver messages.
Why does ICE Contact ask for my location?
ICE Contacts asks for your location so it can be shared with your contacts when you send a message.
Why does ICE Contact ask to access my contacts?
ICE Contacts access your contacts so you can send messages to them. The App will not work without adding contacts.
Why does ICE Contact ask for my phone number?
ICE Contact needs your phone number to verify your account.
What is an Instant Message?
An Instant Message is for emergency situations that need to be a click away. Simply launch the App and your message will be sent.
Can I edit an Instant Messages?
Yes. There is an "Edit" button in the top right of your Instant Message where you can edit the message and contacts.
What is a Delayed Message?
A Delayed Message is for situations where you want to have your own back. Simply launch the App and set the time you want the message sent if something were to happen and you are unable to respond. A Delayed Message is an emergency message that you decide to be sent at a certain time. The app will notify you that the message is about to be sent and if you are unable to dismiss it, it will send.
Can I add pictures to my messages?
Yes. Click the Paperclip icon and you can add a picture with your message.
Can I add a video to my messages?
No. We currently do not support video attachments but will be releasing that feature in the future.
Will you remind me before my Delayed Message is sent?
Yes. You will receive a reminder to dismiss your ICE Message before we send it. You can edit the time you want to be reminded in Menu > Settings.
What if my ICE Contact doesn't have the App installed?
Your message will be deliverd via Email or SMS Text message if your ICE Contact doesn't have the App Installed.
How are messages Received?
Messages are received via In-App Notification, Email or Text.
How do I block someone?
Click the "Block" button if you receive an ICE Message from someone who may be annoying you.
How do I delete a message?
Swipe left on the message in your Inbox and a Delete button will appear.
Will enabling GPS tracking drain my battery?
Yes. Activating GPS Tracking may cause your battery drain faster.
Are messages secure?
Yes. Your message is 100% secure so don't worry about that.
How do I change my password?
Launch the ICE Contact App and go to > Menu > Settings > Edit Profile.
Will you ever post to my Facebook?
No. We will never post or share anything to Facebook without your permission.
How do I add or edit my ICE Contacts?
Your contacts are imported from your phone. Launch the ICE Contact App and go to > Menu > Contacts to add or edit.
Will my message send if my phone dies or I lose service?
Yes. ICE Messages will be sent even if your phone dies or loses service.
How do I know if someone else has the ICE Contact App installed?
There will be a green circle below your contacts picture if they have the ICE Contact App.
